A. T. Stokes Wins 440yds Championship. \ v CARNIVAL, AT FENDALTON. An inter-club swimming carnival was conducted by the Fendalton Club at the Fendalton School baths this afternoon. There was a fair attendance, but numerous swimmers were absent on account of other attractions. A. T. Stokes (East Christchurch) retained his 440yds championship in smin 40 l-ssec, comparatively slow time. He was not pressed, as D. P. Lindsay, Dominion champion, was not competing. Miss S.
