The Richmond Hill Golf Club has arranged a aeries of matches for Easter Saturday and Monday, for club members and visitors as well. On the Saturday there will he a stroke handicap in the morning and a mixed stroke handicap in the afternoon. On the Monday a bogey handicap will be played in the morning and a mixed four-ball bogey handicap in the afternoon. Post entries will he received. The morning events on both days are open to men only, and competitors are urged to start as soon after 9 a.m. as ]>ossible. No one may start the first round after 10.30 o'clock. Hagley Ladles’ Clnb. The first match of the season, a bogey match, will be played on Tuesday. April 5, players to arrange opponents. The official opening of the club will be on Saturday, April 2, when mixed foursome* for the opening day cup will be played. Christchurch Ladles’ Club. The official opening of the 1932 season took place at Shirley on Wednesday under ideal weather conditions. A largo number of members participated and, considering the abnormally dry season, the course was in good playing order. The competitions were flag matches for senior and junior players and a putting competition. In reaching the seventeenth hole Miss Ruth Macfarlane won the senior flag match; and Mrs O. H. Burns, the junior winner, reached the eighteenth hole. Mi** Macfarlane won the putting competition. The club captain, Mrs H. S. Lawrence, donated the prizes. Morth Reach Links.
