RAILWAY GARDENS.
Results of Competition Announced. Judging in the railway gardens competition has been completed py Messrs W. J. riumm and 11. L. Darton, of the Canterburj r Horticultural Society. Owing to the ver\’ dry season difficulty has been experienced by members of the railway staff in maintaining the gardens in a competitive condition and as a result the entries were not as numerous as previously. Results were: “A” division, for the L. B. Hart Challenge Cup—Rakaia 1, Ileathcote 2, Little River 3 (with certificate of merit for distinct improvement). “B ’’ division, for the Canterbury Horticultural Society’s trophy.—Southbrook 1.
