FLIGHT TO WANGANUI.
Fourteen Machines to Leave To-morrow. Fourteen aeroplanes will leave tomorrow for Wanganui to.attend the pageant there on Saturday. Included in the flight will be five Air Force machines and four Canterbury Aero Club ’planes. The Aero Club Moths will be flown by Messrs J. C. Mercer, J. J. Busch, C. B. Myhre and J. Adams. SquadronLeader J. L. Findlay will be in charge of the Air Force detachment, the other pilots being Flight-Lieutenants H. B. Burrell, Somerset-Thomas (Permanent Air Force), K. Hall and N. Barlow (Territorial Air Force). The Air Force will send two Tomtits, two Moths and one Bristol Fighter. The machines will probably land at Blenheim, Wellington, Palmerston North and Wanganui. The Air Force machines will continue on to Auckland to take part in the No. 1 Army Cooperation refresher course, while the Aero Club machines will return on Sunday, weather permitting. Another five machines, representing southern aero clubs, will also go north to-morrow.
