LEAGUE OF NATIONS.
Work of Union Branch Reviewed. The annual general meeting of the Christchurch branch of the League of Nations Union was held last evening, Mr A. C. Brassington presiding. The annual report stated that the work of the union during the past year had consisted mainly of the organisation of monthly lectures. The union had sought the co-operation of the various churches. The election of officers resulted:— Patrons, the Mayor of Christchurch and the Bishop of Christchurch; president, Mr R. A. Cutbbert; vice-presidents. Or J. Hight, Mrs T. E. Taylor and Mr R. M. Laing; secretary-treasurer, Mr G. Manning; executive committee, the Rfev J. Allan, Messrs A. Ockenden, C. R. N. Maekie, E. P. Gill, W. F. Tomlinson, G. Lawn, A. C. Brassington, Mesdames J. Richards, J. S. Cornea and A. E. Fraer, Misses E. Hawker and E. Hull.
