EXPLORER’S DEATH.
HONG KONG, March 15. The death occurred to-day, after a brief bout of pneumonia, of M. Georges Marie Ilardt, leader of the French scientific expedition following the route of the famous thirteenth century traveller and trader, Marco Polo. The hardships of the journey undermined M. Hardt’s health.
