Men Alarmed while Trying to Enter Store. Thieves attempted to break into the Woodend store early this morning, but AA-cre disturbed in the act of taking out a AvindoAv pane, and made off. The store is owned by Mr C. B. Bourne, Avho resides in a house nearby. First, the thieves attempted to enter by the front door of the shop. They remoA-ed some bars Avhich covered a glass pane, and then broke the glass. They Avere baffled here, because there Avere iron bars behind the glass which prevented an entry. Then they went round to the side of the shop, and took away the AvoodAvork from a AvindoAv.
