Why N.S.W. Has Failed.

To the Editor. Dear Sir,—lt is a pity I barged in on “ W.G.” He has, however, made a very poor effort in stalling me off. I reiterate the point. Why concentrate on New South Wales when countries and States in no way associated with Lang or his plan are in the soup. I reiterate again, too, that it is due mainly to money juggling, made possible by the present system, which is obviously an arrogant failure. The so-called Lang Plan is a failure for the same season. New South Wales, of course, is subjected to some special difficulties in regard to finance. I make my observations in this way to show 44 W.G.” that by singling out New South Wales he is barking up the wrong tree. He has not shown how the state New South Wales finds herself in is due to any plan of Mr Lang. It can only be traced to the failure of the present capitalistic system, aggravated, mainly, by the hostility shown towards Mr Lang by those in a position to apply it, financially and otherwise. 44 W.G.” must admit, as I do, that the people in Australia supporting the Lang plan, are all entitled to their opinions. and I repeat that there must be some good in this plan although there are considerable obstacles placed in the way of its application.—l am, etc., UNEMPLOYED.
