N.Z. Horses Sold to Sydney Buyer.
KARAPOTI AND lIEREMIA. (Special to the “Star.”) AUCKLAND, March 15. Negotions have been completed for the purchase of Karapoti and Heremia. The former was sold for £2OOO and the latter for £ISOO. They are to be shipped to Sydney on Friday and, it is understood, will go into J. T. Jamieson’s stable at Randwiek. Karapoti, a four-year-old gelding by General Latour from Kilbcggan, has been trained by A. Cook at Te Awamutu for Mr M. 11. Tims. lie is the winner of eleven races, including the Great Northern Derby and St Leger. Heremia has been trained by J. L. Gray at Takanini for Mr Cecil A. Boles. He is a three-year-old gelding by Lapi- ' darv from Blodwin and his. successes include the Douro Cup at Trentham in January.
