TINWALD STOCK SALE.

(Special to the ” Star.”) ASHBURTON, March 15. A sharp rise was shown in the prices at the Tinwald stock sale to-day, due to keen competition amongst the butchers, avliq paid a 3s advance on last Aveek’s values for extra prime quality. The best eAves, sold on account of M. F. Kingsbury, of Wakanui and F. •T. Harris, brought 15s 7d. while F. Vessey, of Tinwald. sold a line which averaged 13s 4d to 14s 7d. Prime fat lambs reached 16s 7d, this price going to J. O’Connor, of Ashton, and F. J. Harris, of Coldstream. There was a small yarding of Avethers, which brought up to 13s lOd, the vendor being w. F. Rampton, of Hinds. Steers sold from £5 to £6 10s.
