Police Tell of Complaints Received. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, March 14. As a sequel to the pakapoo raid last night, Carr Chong, aged thirty-six, a gardener, appeared in Court this morning. The police said that complaints had been received from a European, one being that a man who marked a ticket and won £75 was not paid. The police further alleged that fourteen banks were drawn daily in Grey Avenue places. Chong was fined £SO or three months’ imprisonment. Seven Europeans were each fined £2 each for being unlawfully on the premises. A charge against one man, who pleaded not guilty, was dismissed.
