BEDDING WANTED.

Appeal Made on Behalf of Needy Couple.

An eiderdown or a blanket and linoleum is urgently required by the Central Relief Depot for a sick couple. The family concerned is in very needy circumstances. The appeal for the articles mentioned was made this morning by J- W. Woodbury, officer in charge of the depot. Mr Woodbury added that the depot was very, short of foodstuffs, but it was doing its best to meet all cases of distress. The sum of £4O was being received from the Mayor’s Relief of Distress Fund each week,'and this was being spent to supplement donations. There was a big demand for boots and clothing, and any assistance to meet this would be gratefully received. .
