TOLD POLICE OF THEFT

Man Took Money from a Petrol Station. Steven James Morighan, aged 24, a labourer, of Fitzgerald Avenue, was sentenced to two months’ imprisonment by Mr E. D. Mosley, S.M., this morning for the theft on January 16, at Templeton, of £4 10s, the property of James Curragh. The police stated that accused was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment yesterday and was committed for sentence on other charges. Morighan had volunteered the information that he went to a petrol station and took the money. This was found to be correct. The accused declared that he wanted the matter disposed of. The sentences will be concurrent.
