EASTER HOLIDAYS.
No Change in Arrangements for This Year. The arrangements for the Easter holidays will be the same in Christchurch this year as they were last year. The late night will be observed on Thursday, March 24, and close holidays will be generally observed on Good Friday, Saturday, March 26, and Monday, March 28. While Saturday is not a statutory holiday, it is customary for retail firms and the majority of factories to observe it as a full day’s holiday.
