Household Patrol.

MANY AS FOUR HOUSES a week have been broken into on the London County Council Estate at St Ilelier, Morden, Surrey, in the space of a few weeks, and a band of watchers has been formed among the residents to patrol the roads at night. Sixteen men working in pairs turn out each night armed with cudgels and other weapons. Most of them wear the British Legion badge. Two suspects have been chased and one caught. It is expected that the vigilants will be eventually 100 strong.
