SELWYN HOCKEY CLUB.
The annual meeting of the Selwvn Hockey Club was held last evening. The president (Mr W. Richmond) presided over a record attendance of members. In moving the adoption of the annual report, the chairman congratulated the club on a splendid vear All the activities of the club wore in a healthy state. The senior team again had won the championship, and the third and fourth grades also had won the cups of their respective competitions, in addition the seniors had won the five-a-side competition.
The election of officers resulted:— Patron, Mr Walter Johnson; president, Mr T. W. Richmond; vice-presidents, Rev E. W. Hames, Mr E. J. Howard, M.P., and Messrs W. Bell, S. J. L. Hewitt, W. Down, F. D. Kestewn. T. Freeman, C. D. Gibson, T. Richmond, T. Andrews. E. H. Smith and H. G. Hore; honorary secretary, Mr F. P. Gay; assistant secretary, Mr Roy Lane; Honorary treasurer, Mr J. L. Squire; assistant - treasurer, Mr H. D. Beaumont; honorary auditor, Mr Ern Smith; club
captain, Mr C. S. Clements: deputy club captain, Mr Fred F’ullwood; delegates to the Canterbury Hockey Association, Messrs F. Fullwood. R. Lane and 1.. Oliff; Executive Committee, Messrs C. Hore and Frank Bellamy, in addition to thte club officers. It was decided to hold the official opening of the season on Saturday, April 9, at Hagley Park.
