FIRM’S CELEBRATION.

Woolworth’s Ltd. have Staff Dance. In the Jellicoe Hall last evening, the staff and friends of Messrs Woolworth’s (N.Z.), Ltd., gathered to celebrate the second birthday of their firm, with an enjoyable dance. The guest of honour was the manager, Mr C. G. Storry. Novelties helped to make the evening gay, while the peremony of cutting the birthday cake caused much amusement. Credit for the arrangements, which were so smoothly carried out, must be given to the committee: Mr C. M’Connell (chairman), Mrs S. K. Gow (secretary), Mr G. Caiman (treasurer), Misses V. Wortz, B. Evans, N. Rogatski and R. Dobson. The music for dancing was supplied by Grummit’s orchestra.
