CHAMPION SWIMMER.

Invitation to Visit New Zealand. (Special to the “Star.”) AUCKLAND, March 9. Nothing further will be known for a week or so about the proposed visit of Andrew Charlton, the Australian champion swimmer, to Auckland, to appear at a series of carnivals under the control of the Waitemata Swimming Club. The Canterbury Centre is anxious to have Charlton in Christchurch, but, while any extension of his itinerary is purely a matter of terms, the chances are that Auckland country districts will have the first refusal.
