POWER BOAT RACING.

Second Race for Rowland Trophy. The second qualifying race for the Rowland Trophy of the Brighton Power Boat Club was held on the Estuary on Saturday afternoon. A high tide and smooth water made conditions Ideal for power boating. Eight boats competed and the race was held over the usual course from the Pleasant Point Jetty down the Estuary and back. The fastest time was put up by Hawk, iSmin lOsec, and the winner’s time was 45mfn lOsec. The race resulted as follows: Phyllis (40min) 1, Htmi (22mln) 1, Nancy (24min) 3.
