At Ihe first call there were two sales of Ooveinm.nt 5J per cent Stocks at last week’s closing rates. Tax frees were dull with sellers at £93 6s, the best buyers stopping at £9l. Standard Insurances were quoted ex div with sellers at £- . s 6d. Auckland Gas shares were steady with buyers at £1 2s. Waihis were easier and were available at los od. There were buyers for Traders’ Finance shares at 7s 3d for ordinaries and j4s for preferences. Moturoa Oils were asked for at 4s. and a parcel of Loan and Mercantile £IOO stock was offered at £44.
