SLEEPY HUSBAND.
SHOT BY ANGRY WIFE. A woman who shot and killed her husband because lie insisted upon going to sleep when she wanted to talk to him was sentenced to three years’ imprisonment by the Seine Assize Court, Paris, “extenuating circumstances” being found by the jury: woman, Mine. Louise Buisson, collapsed in hysterics on hearing the sentence. Her husband, it appeared from the .evidence, was a nursery gardener who, after dinner at the end of a long day’s work, placed his elbows on the table and closed his eyes. “Leave me alone, I am tired,” he said. When she shook him by the shoulders he told her roughly to go to bed and leave him in peace. “I shall throw myself in the river,” she threatened. “Don’t be silly,” was his reply. Mine. Buisson then seized a revolver from a drawer and Rhot her husband through the head. She stated subsequently that she thought the weapon was not loaded.
