THE KING’S PRIZE.

Petone Rifleman has Good Lead. Per Press Association. TRENTHAM. March 5. With the completion of the fourth match in the Championship Belt series at Trentham this morning- R. H. Nicholl (Petone) increased his lead in the contest for the King’s Prize. He then had a score of 681 out of a possible of 400, and, as the man in second position, H. V. Croxton (Ivarori) was six points behind Nicholl, the latter only needed to make a 44 in the final match for the King’s Prize this afternoon to win the belt. These points he secured. The B Grade Aggregate was won by H. King (Opaki) and the Tyro Aggregate by W. R. Martyn (Nelson). The Service Championship was won by J. E. Farley (Wanganui).
