To discuss the question of suburban development, a conference was held on Wednesday evening between representatives of the City Council, Waimairi County Council and the Town Planning Institute. A general discussion took place on various matters of town planning and finally it was decided that the City Council and the Waimairi County Council should exchange their plans showing the location of shopping areas on and near their boundaries. It was also decided that before there was any departure from these suburban shopping area-, representatives of the two councils should meet and discuss the matter.
