SWIMMING CONTROL.

Next Championships to be

Held at Napier.

The council of the New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association met last

evening, Mr W. E. D. Bishop presiding. There were also present—Messrs Fred G. Dunn (South Canterbury), D. Coulter (Canterbury), C. Bryant (Wanganui). W S. Burford (Ashburton). L. Annand (Southland). F. Collins (South Auckland), H. Gillespie (West Coast), T. Thomson (Otago), A. R. Jacobson (Manawatu), D. P. Lindsay (Hawke’s Bay) and B. O’Neill (Wellington).

It was decided that the senior championships in 1933 he held in Napier and the junior and intermediate championships in Invercargill. It was decided that no nominations of swimmers be made for the coming Olympic Games.

The St Kilda Surf Club (Dunedin) was granted affiliation.

Approval was expressed of the recommendation of the conference of centres that the championship medals be made in New Zealand, and it was decided that inquiries be made as to cost. v
