PERSONAL ITEMS.

Mr and Mrs F. Picot, Wellington, are staying at the United Service Hotel. Mrs M. Clarkson, Christchurch, is visiting Auckland. Mr and Mrs A. W. Yarrell (Hokitika) are guests at Warner’s Hotel. Dr and Mrs Douglas, Oamaru, left Christchurch last night for Wellington.

Mr and Mrs R. O. Law, Miss M. Law and Miss Linley Wilson (Perth) are guests at the United Service Hotel.

Miss M. Exton, Upper Riccarton, who has been visiting Rangiora, returned home on Wednesday.

Mrs Wylde Brown, Oamaru, arrived in Christchurch yesterday and left later for the north.

Mr and Mrs W. V. Lambert (Dunedin), and Miss A. C. Brockie (Napier) are recent guests at the Royal Hotel.

Mr T. D. Burnett, M.P., and Mrs Burnett, ' arrived in Christchurch this morning by the ferry steamer from the north.

Miss Mary M’Lean has left to attend a meeting of the executive of New Zealand Trained Masseurs’ Association, to be held in Auckland next week.

Guests at the New City Hotel include Mr and Mrs A. Rolfe (Dunedin), Mr and Mrs W. Dixon (New Plymouth) and Messrs A. and L. Milliken (Springfield). Mrs J. Cracroft Wilson, Cashmere, and her daughter, Mrs Arthur Grigg, Surrey Hills, who have been visiting the Southern Lakes, will return to Christchurch to-morrow.

Mr and Mrs John Franklin, Wadestown, Wellington, will leave for Sydney by the Ulimaroa on March 18 to join the s.s. Moreton Bay for England. They are at present staying at Caulfield House, Wellington. Miss Catherine T. Bissett, Auckland, who is staying with Mrs A. M. West, Riccarton, will be the guest for the week-end of Mrs W. Watson, “ Keodholme ”, Sheffield, accompanied by her father, Mr John W. Bissett, J.P., before proceeding north to the conference at Wanganui of the Federation _of New Zealand Justices. Mr W. G. Douglas, Mrs M. Latimer (Auckland), Mr and Mrs W. E. Sainsbury, Miss N. J. Sainsbury (Perth, W.A.), Mrs M. R. Halse (Wellington), Miss E. Knight (Hokitika), Mr and Mrs Chisholm, Miss Laing, Miss Fraser, Mr W. L. Hooper (Dunedin), and Miss Clements (Auckland), are guests at the Hotel Federal.
