CRICKETERS STAND ALOOF.
Hindus will not Play in Trials for Political Reasons. (Received January 16, 11.30 a.m.) CALCUTTA, January 15. Five prominent Hindu cricketers at Bombay have refused to participate in the trials to be held at Patiala and Lahore to aid in the selection of an Indian cricket team for England, owing, it is understood, to the political situation.
