Strong exception was taken at a meeting of the Christchurch Tomato and Stone Fruit Growers’ Association on Saturday evening to the failure of the Canterbury Progress League to send a representative to its meeting after the association had made all arrangements and had notified its members of the proposed address. A league representative was to have spoken on the advantages to be gained by membership of that body. That the clergy do not stand apart as making up the Church, but that all have a part in it. some with different function:; from others, was stressed by Dean Julius, preaching at the Anglican Cathedral yesterday morning. lie stated that he had recently heard it remarked of a young man that he was “ going into the Church. \ ou have all been in it many years,” Dean Julius told the congregation. “ Everyone of you is a priest in God’s church.”
