HEATHER THE CHOICE

Final of Otago Sanders Cup Trials. A SURPRISE VICTORY. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, December 19. The final Otago provincial Sanders Cup trial was held on Otago Harbour this afternoon, when Heather, sailed by C. Pettitt, gained an unexpected victory over Winifred, skippered by J. M’Grath. The wind was a light southeaster and. although conditions suited Winifred, M’Grath could not get speed out of the boat, taking third place behind Squib, which was well sailed by A. Hall.
