CANADIAN WAGE CUT.
United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received December 19, 11.30 a.m.) MONTREAL, December 18. The Labour Department at Ottawa has ruled that the 10 per cent cut in the wages of the railway running trades must not be made retroactive. The railways had announced that the cut, which was recently recommended in a majority report of the Conciliation Board, would be retroactive to November 15.
