Results of Competitions are Announced. SPENCERVILLE SUCCESSFUL. The results of the school garden competitions were announced at to-day’s meeting of the Canterbury Education Board, as follows: — M’Farlane Shield—Spencerville, 135 points, 1. North Canterbury—Spencerville, 135 points, 1; Rangiora, 125 points, 2; Waiau, 122 points, 3. Sole Charge Section—Ouruhia, 113 points, 1; Aylesbury and Courtenay, 111 points, equal 2; Broomfield, 109 points, 3. Ashburton County—Springburn, 133 points, 1; Willowby, 120 points, 2; Elffelton, 117 points, 3. Sole Charge Section—Chertsey, 110 points, 1; Seafleld, 108 points, 2; Maronan, 106 points, 3. South Canterbury. Pareora West, 129 points, 1 and winner of Hurdley Shield; Geraldine, 126 points, 2; Temuka, 117 points, 3. Sole Charge Section—Kingsdown, 103 points, I; Salisbury, 102 points, 2; Tycho, 96 points, 3. It was agreed that complimentary letters be written to the successful schools and that the usual prises be awarded.
