The children assembled in the schoolroom, where the centre of attraction was a Christmas tree laden with gifts. The Rev Father M’Monagle complimented the scholars on their progress. He voiced appreciation of the zeal, selfsacrifice and devotion of the Sisters of the Missions. In the proficiency examination, all the sixth standard pupils were successful, and after the prizegiving their certificates were handed to them.
