MR SCULLIN’S DENIAL.
Rumours of Further Cut in
Exchange Rate.
United Press Assn. —By Electric Telegraph—Copyrigfc t. (Received December 16, 12.20 p.m.) MELBOURNE, December 16. Mr Scullin denies the rumours that if the Government is returned he will seek to make a further reduction in the exchange rate. The cost of remitting Government funds at the present rate was outweighed by the gain to industry in Australia, particularly primary producers.
