Sitting on a Volcano.

To the EMitor. Dear Sir, —I agree with “ Equal Sacrifice " that blank ruin must face this country unless some such plan as the Copland Plan is adopted to reduce high rates of interest. So far since the election we have received from the Government two gems of wisdom —the first a proposal to extend the life of Parliament, the second the fact that revenue is still further down. The time is ripe to inaugurate a Copland Plan League. Mr Atmore might make a very good president. Ready support would come from all classes that were not barnacle-blinded, and the league would include Liberals, Labour and all Independent parties.—l am, etc, SEDDONIAN LIBERAL.
