A Christmas party for a large number of the poor children of the city was arranged last evening by the Y.M.C.A. boarders in accordance with their annual custom. The children attending were selected by social organisations. Supper was served and fruit and toys distributed. A Christmas tree and Father Christmas, impersonated by Mr J. W. Lister, were additional attractions. A dancing display was given by Miss B. Macdonald and her pupils.
