SUMNER BAND CONCERT.
4 Yesterday afternoon, Derm's Band, under Mr J. W. Scott, gave a recital at Sumner, from the Pier Band Rotunda, in aid of the Christchurch Free Ambulaftce. The programme was as follows:—March, "Hiking” (Blear); foxtrot, 44 Good-bye Sweetheart ” (Chappell); selection, “Lightning Switch” (Alford): waltz, “Thought” (Alford); foxtrot, “ Lady Play Your Mandolin ” (Levant); selection, “ Alaritana ” (Wallace): march, “Anchor’s Aweigh” (Zimmerman). A collection was taken up by the nurses in uniform and others interested.
