INQUEST ADJOURNED.
Further Inquiries into Wogan’s Death.
(Special to the " Star.”) TIMARU, December 14. An adjournment sine die in order to keep the matter open was granted in the inquest into the death of William Edward Wogan, resumed to-day before Mr C. R. Orr-Walker, Coroner. Inspector Bird stated that there were still quite a few points to clear up, which would take some time. The Coroner said that he had nothing further to add to his remarks.
At a previous hearing Mr Orr Walker said that he was satisfied from the evidence already given that deceased did not commit suicide, nor was there any evidence at present for finding that deceased was accidentally shot. Wogan met his death at the Hermitage on November 5, as a result of a gunshot wound received whilst in his room with William John Thomas Whalley, a chef employed at the Hermitage.
