Iron and Steel Imports Under Review. AGRICULTURE COMES NEXT. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received November 24. 11.30 a.m.) RUGBY, November 23. Details of further emergency orders under the Anti-Dumping Law are being examined by Board of Trade officials and the second order is expected to be issued on Wednesday. The first order applies, comparatively speaking, to the small proportion of articles which fall under Class 3 of the Board of Trade list and comprises goods, the abnormal importation of which during recent weeks is beyond doubt. More difficult problems are presented in connection with other manufactured ormainly manufactured articles, and these have been under constant examination in the Department since the measure passed. An important range of articles in the iroh and steel group are stated by the newspapers to be under review. Position of Agriculture. Meanwhile the position of agriculture is claiming considerable attention. The “ Daily Mail ” says that Cabinet will to-day examine a scheme for assisting agriculture, which has been prepared by the Minister of Agriculture, Mr Gilmour. It states that the scheme in- ► eludes a “ proposal for wheat and barley* as well as plans for protecting the Home market against the importation of luxury agricultural products from abroad." The Minister has promised to meet a deputation from the Conservative Parliamentary Agricultural Committee to-morrow. The deputation represents all the varied interests of agriculture. RUSH TO AVOID DUTY. American Ships Speed Towards Britain. (Received November 24, 10.5 a.m.) NEW YORK, November 23. American ships raced under full steam toward England to-day to land cargoes before Wednesday, when the new tariff becomes effective. The rush to export commodities duty free to-day reacted sharply against the price of sterling, which dropped to ,3.661, a loss of 6i cents from Saturday.
