DISPLAY OF ROSES.
Heathcote Church Stages Annual Show. PRIZE-WINNING BLOOMS. The Heathcote Methodist Rose Show Committee held its annual rose and sweet pea show in the Club Hall on Saturday. Tne show proved very successful In spite of the recent dry weather. The Rev F. B. Lawrence opened the show and wished the committee every success. The officers were: President. Rev F. B. Lawrence; vice-president. Rev A. T. Kent; chairman, Mr R. Stevens; secretary, Mr W. J. Burnell; assistant secretary, Mr G. Westbrooke; treasurer, Miss J. Hay; supervisor. Mr R. W. Connolly. The judges were: Flowers, Mr J. H. Robinson; cookery. Mr J. T. Norton. Following is a list of the stallholders: Work stall, Mesdames Colquhoun, King and M’Leod; variety stall, Mesdames Cogle. Silcock, Westbrooke and Stevens; cake stall, Mesdames Scott, . Shrimptofi and Laing; toy stall, Mesdames Fallows, Burnell, Harvey and Oetgen; ice cream stall. Misses A. Oetgen, M. and D. Cameron; sweets stall. Misses J. Hay, Smith and Bloxham; kitchen stall. Mesdames Collins and Emmett; flower and produce stall, Messrs Harvey. Stevens, Salt, Coburn and Woods; side-shows, Young Men’s Bible Class; refreshment rooms, Young Women’s Bible Class. Following is the prize list:— Cut Blooms.
