MELANESIAN MISSION.
Bridge Party to Aid Funds. HELD AT JELLICOE HALL. Bridge parties are greatly in favour at the present time as a means of raising money for charities and other worthy objects. Last evening at the Jellicoe Hall a well-organised bridge party was held to aid the general funds of the New Zealand Melanesian Missionary Society. In addition to the usual decorations which brighten the hall, bowls of mauve rhododendrons and shaded lupins in blue and pink were tastefully arranged on- the platform. This was the second successful effort for the mission funds, a tennis party having been previously organised by Miss Roi de Pass. The bridge party was arranged by the members of the following committee: —Mesdames F. N. Taylor, Jenkins, W. H. Clark, A. Paintin, G. W. Dent, E. W. Pidgeon, G. Lee, P. Robertson, Misses Hiatt, M. E.
