CONSTABLE SUMMONED.

Dramatic Turn at Meeting in Takapuna. "* (Special to the " Star.”) AUCKLAND, October 29. The usual lively proceedings at meetings of the Takapuna Borough Council took a dramatic turn last evening when a passage of arms between the Mayor (Mr J. Guiniven) and a member. Mr L. H. Titchener, culminated in the Mayor summoning a policeman. The action was taken through Mr Titchener refusing to sit down when requested. A policeman arrived, but was informed by the Town Clerk that his services were not required and a peaceful settlement was effected.
