National Needs.
To the Editor. Dear Sir, —Though not wholly a Labourite, I lament the absence of Mr Harry Holland on the Benches of the National Government. Ilow can we New Zealanders expect perfect harmony when all political bodies are not represented. Must we be given to understand that the Right Hon t G. W. Forbes and the Right Hon G. Coates will restore to us the stability, confidence and co-operation, coupled with that of national success, which all are striving for? It must be borne in mind that the major portion of our welfare concerning the future is now in the hands of the Reformers, taking the importance of portfolios. Individually. I think, Reform should assist us within all the limits of their power, and that they should immediately seek the aid of Labour. So many serious problems await this new Coalition Cabinet that every party should be there for the betterment and advancement of this country.—l am, etc.. ROBT. E. COOMBES Riccarton.
