FRENCH VISIT TO GERMANY

United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. PARIS, September 26. M. Pierre Laval, Premier of France, and M. Aristide Briand, Foreign Minister, have gone to Berlin. M. Laval will go to the United States on October 16. The invitation was issued by Germany last month. It is understood that the conversations are to be in no way considered a political “week-end,” and the whole basis of Franco-Germart co-operation is to be reviewed, quite apart from financial adjustments of immediate interests. The visit is the more significant in view of M. Briand’s statement published on Saturday suggesting closer cooperation between France and Germany, amounting to an economic alliance.
