Hopes to Prevent Break in Delhi Pact. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraphy—Copyright. RUGBY, August 23. After returning to Simla yesterday from Calcutta, the Viceroy, Lord Willingdon, summoned a meeting of the Executive Council, at which consideration was given to Ghandi’s telegram assuring his Excellency of his desire to prevent a breakdown of the Delhi truce, and asking for an interview. It was announced later that Gandhi had been invited to visit Simla if he felt that there were misunderstandings which a personal interview might clear up. A message from Bombay said that Gandhi had accepted the invitation. He left Ahmedabad to-night and will Le leceiyed by the Viceroy on Tuesday.
