MUTTON FOR RELIEF.

State Gives Five Hundred Carcases. (Special to the “ Star.”) WELLINGTON, August 19. The Minister of Health has informed Mr Sullivan, member for Avon, who had represented the necessity of providing further supplies of mutton for the relief of distress in Christchurch, that 500 carcases will be despatched by the Wahine from Wellington on August 26, and as was done previously, half the consignment will be sent to Belfast and the remainder to Islington.
