Wellington Festival Has Record Entries. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, August 19. With record entries the Mayor, Mr T. C. A. Hislop, opened the Competition Society’s festival to-night. Recital, with musical accompaniment —Miss Madge Nixon (Christchurch) 1, Miss Joan Maunder (Wellington) 2. Sacred Solo, women—Miss E. Pengally (Miramar) 1, Miss Gladys Barton (Auckland) 2. Shakespearean Recitation, under twenty-one—Miss Dorothy Clark (Dunedin) 1, Mr HTerllev Aitken ( Wellington)
