To thte Editor. Dear Sir,—The decision of the Department to abolish the present time service will be greeted with a chorus of protest, I hope. To me. sir, it seems ridiculous that the Government should deprive telephone subscribers of this service simply because children have abused it through the medium of slot ’phones. Would it not be more reasonable to confine the service to subscribers only?—I am. etc., PAYING MY WHACK.
