THEFT IS ALLEGED.

Seventeen Charges Pending Against Clerk. Alexander Edward Skilling, aged 21, a clerk, appeared before Mr E. D Mosley, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court this morning, charged with the theft of an overcoat valued at £3, the property of William Thomas Bradley. Chief Detective Carroll said that seventeen such charges would be preferred and asked for a remand till August 25. The remand was granted.
