THE WINTER SHOW.
Well Starlets, Mickey was awfully good. He gave me a piece of his cake after all—l knew if I kept on hoping he’d be sure to’ Wasn’t it lovely too? Don’t you think the Winter Show is a very wonderful method of helping New Zealand? It seems as if our brave little country despite her heart full of bewildering troubles were determined to hold out all her handiwork to wayward citizens, and cry, “ Look! I made these all myself, they are good and I know they are good, buy them and help me help thousands of my less fortunate citizens! ” Our country is just like a mother worried and flustered, yet determined to make a big brave effort to help her children. Don’t you think that too? Those who can, should visit the Winter Show. It will help them to realize what a fine little land ours is—making the best of her troubles, and in doing so making a much easier path for the feet of her tired ones to tread. Polly Anna.
