Thirty Deaths at Portuguese Fort at Macao. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. HONG KONG, August 14. When ten tons of gunpowder blew up in the Portuguese military magazine at Macao, yesterday, great havoc was wrought among houses over a wide area. It was revealed to-day that over thirty persons were killed, including Portuguese, Chinese and African soldiery. Several hundreds were injured. The troops flooded the bigger magazines, preventing an even greater disaster.
