FORESTERS’ DANCE.

Gathering of Lodge Members at Papanui.

The annual ball of the Papanui Foresters was held recently at the Memorial Hall, Papanui. Gaily coloured balloons were suspended over the heads of the dancers and native greenery set off the stage. The following lodges were represented among the guests:— Orange Lodge, Papanui; 1.0.0. F., M.U., Papanui; Court Star, Belfast; Court Thistle of Forest, Sydenham; Queen of Canterbury; Star of Canterbury; Victoria and Woodford, Kaiapoi; Star of Greendale; Queen of the Isles, Lyttelton, and the district officers of Canterbury. Bradford’s Band provided the music. Messrs D. Donald and C. H. Holden were M.C.’s. Brother A. V. Baker and Mr T. Woods played the extras. The “lucky spot” waltz was won by Miss Tullett and Mr K.
